A Quiet World of Silhouettes of People at Sunset
This photograph captures silhouettes of people at sunset on a pier above the water, their dark figures held against a path of gold.
Florya shoreline. The joke says, “Sene 1348,” but it is not a real date. It was the beautiful silhouette day when I made my crow photographs. I love the way a moment can hold both people and birds, all reduced to shape and light.
I love Florya. There is a shopping mall there, and I used to enjoy coffee with a view of the sea. I would watch the planes land and could probably watch them another hundred million times. Some places stay with us because they give ordinary time a beautiful frame.
I meant to say that I love Florya on weekdays. On weekends, like everywhere else, it is probably a human tide. Still, these silhouettes of people at sunset remind me that even a crowded place can hold one quiet, unforgettable moment.
What does any of this have to do with the photograph? Nothing. It simply came to mind. 😁
