A Red Sunset Tree Photo Made to Stay
This red sunset tree silhouette came from a school photography trip just before the year ended. We joked that the trip was to Africa, after having supposedly visited South America the time before. The real destination was somewhere in Istanbul, probably Yıldız Park in Beşiktaş. Probably.
A Little School Trip, a Very Large Sky
We stopped at one of the old mansions, now used as cafes, to drink coffee and let the day settle. The sky was already putting on a show. I pushed the red in Photoshop until the image became deliberately excessive, then kept it that way because I liked the exaggeration.
Years later, this red sunset tree silhouette still feels like a note left for the future. A small afternoon with classmates, a coffee break and a sky that refused to be modest. Some photographs do not need to be realistic to be honest about how the moment felt.
Have you ever seen a sky like this?
