A White Scottish Fold Cat with a Very Serious Face
Pamuk was the first cat in our house, and this white Scottish Fold cat already looks like she knows exactly where she belongs. She is stretched across the bed with her folded ears, soft fur and calm, slightly serious expression. The room may belong to the family, but the best part of it clearly belongs to Pamuk.
The First Cat Was Already in Charge
My mother began to love cats after turning sixty-five. Pamuk came to us through someone we knew, and somehow the house changed around her. Some cats enter a home quietly. Others arrive and rearrange everyone's idea of who is in charge.
The photo was taken on the eighth day after Pamuk's spay surgery. She was doing well, thankfully. I stayed beside her through the first night, got up at eight in the morning and did not go to bed again until around noon the following day. It was a long night, but we got through it. 🥰
Looking at her now, the white Scottish Fold cat in the photograph does not look like a patient. She looks like a small, fluffy landlord checking whether the humans are behaving properly. That may be the real recovery plan: rest, attention and making sure everyone remembers who the baby of the house is.

The photo was taken with a Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro. 😁
Did a cat ever arrive in your home and quietly become the person everyone else had to organize their life around?
