A Hidden Cat Photo Above the Broom
Did you spot the cat at first glance? This hidden cat photo is a small visual joke: a sleepy orange-and-white cat is stretched above a utility box, blending into the top edge of an ordinary house wall.
This is from one of my Heybeliada walks. I love making the full island loop there. I do not love paying just to pass through one particular point, which I think is Değirmenburnu. Yes, even if you are only using the road, you still have to pay. That part has always felt strange to me.
I once wrote to the Adalar municipality about it. The answer was basically that the place had been rented together with the road, so visitors could take it or leave it. Fair enough, perhaps, but it still makes a simple walk feel a little less simple.
Current note: Passing through that road is no longer charged. The fee now applies only to entering the picnic areas.
Anyway, that is not today's subject. The subject is the cat. Look at how peacefully it is sleeping. 🥰 Despite all the world's mess, there is still time to curl up, settle in and sleep beautifully.
Did anyone miss the cat on the first look? A hidden cat photo does not need a complicated trick. Sometimes a quiet house, a broom and one perfectly placed napper are enough.
