The Angle I Had Was Enough
This runway fashion photography frame came from the audience, not the perfect spot directly opposite the catwalk. A model in a black pinstriped suit moved through the light, and for a second the dark room became her stage.
Back in my fashion design school days, around 2014 or 2015, our class went to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Istanbul as spectators. The people taking photos and video from the runway's front-facing area usually needed permission first. I did not have that spot, so I took the next best angle instead.
It was not the official photo pit, but it was still a frame worth keeping. Runway fashion photography is sometimes about access, and sometimes about noticing the opening you have. I saw one, raised the camera, and took it. 😁
