A Small Masterclass in Peace
This sleeping dog on grass looks like he found the one place in the world where nothing is expected of him. His eyes are closed, his nose rests low in the green, and the soft blur around him turns an ordinary patch of grass into a private room for dreams. Even the little tag near his ear seems to have stopped making noise.
The Frame Was Better Than I Thought
I am not completely convinced by my framing here, but I still like the photograph. Maybe peace forgives a slightly imperfect composition. The dog certainly does. He has the expression of someone who has already decided that the day can wait.
This sleeping dog on grass does not need an event, a trick or even an open eye to hold the frame. He is simply warm, safe and wonderfully unavailable to the rest of the world. Sleep well, beautiful angel. 💖 Some subjects pose for a camera. Others fall asleep and make the camera grateful.
