A Dark Forest House Between Shadow and Hope
A dark forest house hides behind layers of leaves, its weathered wooden walls almost disappearing into shadow. The windows are different. They hold the pale light outside, close enough to see and somehow still out of reach.
In my mind, I am in the deepest room of that old house. Darkness has taken over the body. The soul is already scattered, lost and exhausted. The light is not far away. Look. It is right there, just beyond the glass.
Give me strength, God.
Give me the strength to leave that dark room, to loosen the darkness around my body, to gather the pieces of my spirit and reach the light.
It is November 10, a date that already carries its own weight here in Türkiye, and today the pain of another rejected job application has joined it. This one hurts more. I came so close to becoming an apprentice. I was almost touching the window, almost taking that first step into the light. But it did not happen. ❤
The dark forest house becomes more than a place in this photograph. It is the distance between despair and hope, measured by a single window.
I hope you do not remain in darkness. If darkness visits, I hope it stays only long enough to remind you how precious the light is, and then never finds its way back. 🥰
