A Lake Iznik Sunset Photo That Keeps Burning
The sun sets differently over Lake Iznik. In this Lake Iznik sunset photo, the water catches the last red light while a deep blue sky holds the darker clouds above it. The horizon is quiet, but the color is not.
The Sky Did Not Need Photoshop
The image came straight from the camera. No Photoshop, no extra drama added later. The second frame shows the same evening opening out into a whole series of changing colors, from blue and violet to orange and red. I still think of this Lake Iznik sunset photo whenever I want to remember how much a single evening can hold.
Time moves quickly. One day, let us sit with coffee or wine and talk properly. Remind me, because I forget things. I have been wanting to go out and take photographs again. On April 7, 2020, that wish felt especially close and especially far away at the same time.
Do you think it is the view or the person beside you that makes a sunset memorable years later?
