Learning the Rules of Cat Affection
We first called him Peynir, but we adopted him and he became part of the family. I have always been better with dogs. With a dog, I feel like I can read the look, the posture and what it wants. Cats are different territory for me, which makes living with one both funny and unexpectedly sweet.
I once cared for a sick kitten in Bodrum and named him Jagu. That was my first real period of getting close to a cat. Now Pamuk is at home too. He does not give affection away easily, but I catch him when I can. He is calm, gentle and usually does not scratch. March, however, is another story. His dramatic nighttime meowing is not my favorite sound. 😂
