A Portrait of Melike from Okan University
Melike from Okan University was photographed in a studio for a course assignment. The light is soft, her eyes are lowered and there is a smile that feels more private than posed.
I spent some time there doing photography, first for a short paid period and then as a volunteer. When other departments had trips or activities, I sometimes went along to photograph them. This portrait came from those days.
The school part of that time did not end as gently for me. My graduation took a year longer than it should have, after paperwork and student records did not seem to move as expected. When I returned later hoping for help and clarity, I came away without much of either. I still do not know what became of the department.
Melike from Okan University had a smile that could warm a room. We were close then, but over time life carried us in different directions. I do not know where she is now, only that I hope she is healthy and happy. 🥰
