The Light Was the Real Performer
A Golden Pose with Something to Say
This seagull at golden hour feels less like a bird passing through the sky and more like the evening light's favourite guest. The wings are open, the beak is mid-sentence, and the warm colour across the feathers makes the whole sky feel as if it has paused to listen. For a second, the seagull is not crossing the frame. It owns the light.
I love these little evening performances, even when the sunlight does not colour the bird's face quite as beautifully as I imagine it could. The feathers still carry that warm glow, the open beak gives the photograph a voice, and the pose has more charm than any perfect arrangement could offer. This seagull at golden hour is not asking to be admired politely. It has arrived, opened its wings, and started telling the sunset what it thinks. I still love this one. 🥰
