The Personality of a Crow Perched in Bare Branches
Black-and-white branches fill the frame, and one crow sits high among them like it has chosen the best seat in the whole winter garden. This crow perched in bare branches looks serious at first, but the posture has too much personality to stay solemn. The pale sky and tangled twigs leave plenty of room for the bird's silhouette to do the talking.
I keep discovering how many crow photographs I have made. There are other crow photographs and the full photo gallery if you want to look through them all. I seem to collect crows without making a formal decision. 😁
As with many of my photographs, I cannot remember exactly where I took this one. That uncertainty is annoying for the archive, but the bird does not seem bothered. A crow perched in bare branches does not need a location label to look like it owns the sky.
When I went to Heybeliada for a video, for what must have been the third time I mentioned it, I tossed simit to a crow. It ate the first one or two, then carried the rest under the grass to hide them. What did you expect? Crows are clever. Science has explained that many times, but I am happy to repeat it. 😂
