A Flower Crown Portrait in a Quiet Island Moment
This flower crown portrait comes from another day spent on the islands. It is one of the photographs I still like because it does not need much from its subject. Her eyes are closed, her hands are close, and the small crown of daisies and red flowers does the rest.
Looking at it now, I think I could have placed her face a little further to the left. I noticed it later and wanted to move it with my eyes, which is not exactly how photography works. Still, the softness of this flower crown portrait matters more to me than that small imperfection.
The flowers in her hair make me think of another quiet flower moment from a different walk.
